Huntblue has just celebrated its first year of trading, the existing team has worked very hard; 2007 was a great success and we are now in a position to take on new staff. The agency operates in a very interesting and developing market – The Environmental Sector.

Job Description

During 2007 we have worked very hard to establish strong and trusting client relationships. If you visit the ‘Search Vacancies’ section of our home page you will get a good idea of how successful we have been, we have lots of excellent jobs we are looking to fill.

2008 will be a year of delivery, we want people to join us to help us build excellent relationships with new candidates, and also help us consolidate and develop relationships we have with our existing client base.

So what does this involve?

  • Telephone work to attract candidates
  • Telling potential candidates about opportunities we have
  • Interviewing candidates
  • Getting a detailed understanding of each candidates experience, skills and aspirations
  • Establishing strong relationship with candidates
  • Working closely with candidates to help them develop their careers
  • Working directly with clients and communicating progress on work we are doing for them
  • Computer literacy and keeping accurate records
  • Writing good / accurate job descriptions
  • Market analysis and research

Who do we do this for?

Our client base is very broad, at one level we work with specialist international environmental consultancies, at a different level we work with small regional niche consultancies. Our clients are spread throughout the UK, we also work with selected consultancies on appointments in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Previous Environmental experience is not required, a passion for excellent customer service is however essential.

Training and Personal Development

Like all service sectors, we will always be reliant on the quality of our staff. Huntblue will have continued success if our consultants possess the right mix of tangible skills and personal attributes.

Different people have different abilities, we work hard with each individual to recognise both their strengths, and the areas of their performance that they would like to develop. A monthly appraisal system is built into our Incentive Scheme.

We will work with each individual to help you both thoroughly and quickly develop your skills to become a high earning Recruitment Consultant. We do this through –

  • In house training
  • A selected partnership with ‘Recruitment Matters’, an excellent external Recruitment focussed training company

We also want our trainee consultants to take the Industry Recognised Qualifications with the REC, ‘The Recruitment and Employment Confederation’.

Salaries, Bonuses & Reward Scheme

Our basic rate of Pay for a Trainee Consultant is very competitive, and aligned to the industry standard, and will be dependant on any candidates previous experience and skills. If modest first year targets are met we expect to pay people an OTE of 25k – 30k. In time, good recruiters will earn a high proportion of their salary through bonus, and our bonus system is uncapped.

Our basic holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus bank holidays. We also operate a flexi-time system, allowing up to 15 days per year.

We reward employees for effort, results and attitude. We have a very good incentive scheme in place, and monthly and quarterly prizes to consultants who work hard. In 2008 we will also be awarding an annual prize, this will be an All Expenses Weekend for Two to New York.

I think it is fair to say that most people have a clear view of what Recruitment Consultancy is all about, this has often been forged when they have been the reluctant candidate at a typical high street agency. Recruiting in the Professional Sectors is different.

We work with professional people who expect a high quality professional service. Our service is reliant on quality, not quantity. We all have targets, but our targets are realistic and are in place to ensure that we treat every client and every candidate with respect.
