Job Description
Our client is a large environmental company whose strength is the diversity, variety and creative of its people built up over 60 years in consultancy. Our client deals with a broad range of skills, which in turn has allowed them to build a comprehensive service portfolio and applied experience in a wide range of markets.
Responsibilities:
• Providing support to senior project team staff in the waste logistics and waste and resources policy/strategy team within Environment, Energy and Safety Sector.
• Involved with: research, data collection and processing (including time spent gathering information on client sites), waste logistics modeling, results interpretation and report writing, all with guidance from the Project Manager.
• Responsible for scoping the work, preparing proposals, negotiating with clients, managing projects and subcontractors.
• Additional areas of work will include waste and recycling collection options appraisal and modelling, developing strategy and policy particularly in the public sector.
Education and Skills:
• BSc Engineering or Environmental Technology / Management
• MSc Waste Management / Environmental Management
• Strong relationship builder as you will have increasing involvement in business development.
• Well organized, team worker
• Customer focused, flexible and communicator
• Self motivated
• Driving License for Manchester and Leamington Spa
Experience:
Around 1-2 years experience in one or several of the following areas: waste collection and recycling, data handling, processing and interpretation, understanding of the dynamics of waste and resource flows, technical report writing, model development.
