Job Description
Our client has over 20 years international experience across a broad range of waste management areas and contaminated land with major private sector operators, waste management regulators, governments, funding agencies and non-government organisations. Services they provide include audits to ascertain waste minimisation, re-use and recycling opportunities, design of landfills and waste handling facilities, integration of environmental management systems and bespoke training. Due to increasing work loads they require an assistant waste engineer to join their team in Chesterfield.
In this role you will be involved in a wide range of activities including providing support in relation to the waste management engineering services provided to the companies clients in both the public and private sectors and overseas. The role will involve some fieldwork associated with construction works supervision and environmental monitoring. In addition you will be involved in assisting with and undertaking gas, groundwater and stability risk assessments and computer modelling (including CAD and LSS) and assisting with facility design works.

Skills and experience required:
- You will have experience in some or all of the above tasks
- Be flexible and be able to adapt your skills to new situations
- You will be a graduate engineer with some experience
- You will have excellent computer skills
- You will have good report writing and problem solving skills
- You will have a current driving licence
