Job Description
Our client is one of the world’s largest employers of professionally qualified staff, with operations focused in a number of key geographical markets from the UK and Europe to America and the Middle East. They are a multinational engineering and design consultancy, providing expertise to help resolve complex challenges presented by the built and natural environment.
They are now looking for a Contaminated Land Scientist to be based in the London, South East or Bristol office and also working on site when required.
The main responsibilities of this post will include:
• The preparation of conceptual models
• Data evaluation (including statistical analysis)
• Human health risk assessment tools
• Report preparation.
The successful candidate will:
• Be qualified with BSc and MSc degrees in Geology, Hydrogeology, Biology, Geography, Environmental Science or other related field (or equivalent)
• Have a strong, relevant contaminated land experience, including Phase I and II site work
• Have an experience of developing conceptual models using the Source-Pathway-Receptor methodology
• Have at least basic knowledge of risk assessment tools
• Be familiar with Part 2A and other associated contaminated land guidance
• Will be willing to work on site when required
• Have good written, technical and verbal communicational skills
