They are a fast growing and progressive organisation operating within all of the mainstream engineering disciplines, which puts them in the unique position of having an extensive order book.
The Role
The position is within the Waste Planning and Permitting Team. The role and responsibilities will be flexible, but may be expected to include the following:
• Preparing and assisting Planning Applications, Environmental Impact Assessments.
• Pollution Prevention and Control (PPC) Permit and Waste Management Licence applications for waste management facilities and minerals developments.
• Able to assist with preparing proposals and tenders for new work, including interpreting the brief, specification of works required and cost estimating as well as business development, client contact, market research, attending client meetings etc.
• Work will be mainly office-based but Candidate may be required to work on site, or from other offices or clients’ premises as required by the project. May be required to work away from home for periods of time.
The Candidate
To be successful you will:
• Hold a relevant degree
• Familiarity with the waste and minerals industries, methods and technologies employed in waste management, principles of regulatory control of waste & related strategy;
• Familiarity with relevant waste and minerals legislation would be an advantage.
• RTPI membership not essential but would be an advantage
