Job Description
Our client is not only one of the largest, most diverse engineering consultancies in the UK., it is also the largest multi-disciplinary consultancy in Europe. Their waste management business has found success in serving both private and public sector clients, major waste operators, process companies and many more. Due to their large demands they require a Principal Integrated Waste Management Consultant to join their team in Birmingham.
The role will entail leading various multi-faceted technical projects and working with other senior staff in marketing and business development to continue expansion of their Waste Management business.
Responsibilities will involve:
- Lead the drive in expansion of IWM
- Management of key account with a national contractor for the delivery of waste management infrastructure
- Management of direct reports
- Coordination of network of regional managers throughout the UK
- Identification and recruitment of key staff
- Identification and winning new work
- Project direction and management of multidisciplinary schemes
- Proposal writing and fronting presentations to client organisations
The successful candidate will be degree qualified, chartered and possess appropriate amount of relevant experience within the waste sector.
Key areas of knowledge include:
- Collection methodologies and implications for treatment and disposal
- Current treatment and disposal technologies and their design and construction
- Supply chain management and procurement models – Industry costs and markets
- Legislative drivers

- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
