My client are a worldwide team of over 6000 professionals involved in designing, managing and implementing leading edge programmes and projects in the water, environmental and energy sectors.
The Role
They are currently looking for a Principal Waste Consultant to join they company.
The role will mainly involve:
• Managing waste management projects
• Support to business development, preparation of estimates and proposals
• Projects could include, preparation of business case, technical advice to councils, market testing, preparation of enquiries for waste treatment and waste handling facilities for municipal, hazardous or commercial waste treatment processes e.g. stabilisation, composting, anaerobic digestion, MBT, energy from waste, transfer stations.
The Candidate
To be successful you will:
• Strong technical background and wide experience
• Excellent knowledge of UK regulation in this area and an ability to manage the commercial and contractual risks associated with this kind of work.
• Experience in a wide range of projects and operations with significant familiarity dealing with waste projects and operations and experienced in business development of professional services
• Knowledge in operation of waste treatment or waste disposal facilities
• Practice of permitting and licensing of waste handling and treatment plants would be an advantage
