In this role duties will include, conceptual design, assisting in the preparation of plant specifications, the assessment of contractor’s proposals and the review of contractors’ designs during project implementation. The successful candidate must be articulate, with good report writing skills and able to work under their own initiative.
For this role our client is particularly interested in people with experience in the of the following fields:

  • Gasification and/or pyrolysis of waste.
  • Biomass fired power plants
  • Balance of plant systems.
  • Piping systems.
  • Project Management.
  • Construction.

Skills Required:

The role is a multi disciplinary and you will have experience in all aspects of wind and renewable engineering activities and technologies, ideally including:

  • Experience with EPC and/or multi contracts for wind farm or renewable projects.
  • Knowledge of performance testing, guarantees and liquidated damages.
  • Knowledge of contract types and structures.
  • Good ability with people and confident in both participating and leading teams of engineers.

Experience with technical elements of wind engineering and having knowledge of the following would form a good foundation for the role:

  • Wind measurement and resource assessment.
  • Layout and constraint assessment for wind farm planning.
  • Working knowledge of industry software (e.g. WindPro, WAsP)
  • Knowledge of any or all of CFD, meteorology, programming, MathCAD, environmental planning would be an advantage.
