The Company
My client is a well-recognized, reputable company within the environmental industry. They are a large multidisciplinary consultancy dealing with operation in 50 countries worldwide. Within the UK they have employed over 500 employees in eleven offices. This leading international company has an exciting opportunity for a Waste Manager to join their expanding waste team.
The Role
Due to significant success they have exciting positions available for high quality candidates to work in their Dublin and Scotland offices.
The role will mainly involve:
• Providing technical expertise and leading and managing a range of projects.
• Develop, grow and deliver various market areas including contaminated land, due diligence, land quality and land asset management.
• securing new projects in the contaminated land/due diligence and regeneration market.
• Act as a mentor to more junior staff.
• Hold a relevant science degree or equivalent.
• A post graduate qualification is desirable however this is not a pre-requisite.
• Considerable commercial experience, preferably gained within a consultancy environment.
• A sound technical background in all or some of the following areas – contaminated land, land quality assessment, site investigation, due diligence and pollution prevention control. A specialism in hydrology/hydrogeology would be an advantage.
• Strong project management experience, including managing project teams, preparing technical reports and reviewing projects and reports.
• Highly developed communication skills.
