Job Description
Our client is an employee-owned management, engineering and development consultancy serving the public and private sector around the world. Due to increasing workloads they require a Waste Technologist to join their Waste Management team in Croydon.
This is a new position and the person selected will be required to advise clients and project teams on technical and operational matters relating to the treatment and processing of waste.

We would anticipate that candidates will be drawn from a waste management company, technology supplier or consultancy. Candidates should have a background in engineering, materials handling or waste management. Ideally should have experience of one or more of the following:
- Waste sorting
- Mechanical and biological treatment of organic waste
- Composting and anaerobic digestion
- Provision of technical advice on the operation of waste plant and equipment
- Provision of advice on the procurement of waste facilities
Experience of one or both of the following would also be advantageous:
- Due Diligence and PFI applications
- Overseas waste operations
In addition candidates must be able to demonstrate, with reference to previous experience, that they are flexible and effective team workers, are willing to take ownership of projects from the earliest stages through to completion, and are able to develop and sustain good client relationships.
